Large-scale Moscow's Assaults Cut Power In Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in the region
The country's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while local people in the city's east were plunged into darkness and faced problems to drinking water, as stated by local authorities.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was killed in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, as reported by area administrators.

Russian forces has intensified strikes on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "concrete actions" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the US, European nations and the G7 - in providing air defence systems and enforcing penalties," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the city endured significant strikes overnight. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were hurt.

The strikes succeed nights of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.

National leaders told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already affecting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and officials were preparing for more assaults.
